As for backing myself up, I fear there is too much of it rattling around in my head, most of which is conflicting, to actually have room in the blog to put down all evidence!?  That's the trouble with being a historian I suppose and not just any historian - a medieval European historian.  No wonder I can't get a decent job :)&lt;br&gt;
